Who I am

My name is Leif Hart, and I am a ceramic artist from Saint Louis, Missouri.

I first encountered ceramics in fall of 2020, my freshman year of high school. I fully embraced the craft a year later and have been developing my skills and aesthetic ever since.

When I begin working on a piece, I have no idea what I’m going to make until it's done. I primarily use organic forms, and each piece is wholly unique, much like nature, my main inspiration. I use earthy and metallic finishes and natural curved forms and sculpted decorations. The final results of my creative process become physical reminders of the spontaneity and unpredictable-ness of life: a daily joy I want to share with others.
